Burn Foundation Southern Africa
The Burn Foundation of Southern Africa is a national Public Benefit organisation providing support for burn prevention and burn survivor rehabilitation. The Foundation is a registered non-profit, section 21 organisation with official section 18a tax exemption.
Through its affiliations with the International Regions of the Burn Foundation and other burn related support and awareness organisations, the Burn Foundation of Southern Africa aims to develop programmes for prevention and assist those who have suffered a severe burn trauma in their recovery.
Burns are a leading cause of death and injury to young children in South Africa (National Injury Mortality Surveillance System 2002) and Southern Africa as a whole. |
